Jews from Macedonia overcome the injustice by telling a story that in Nazi extermination camp Treblinka were killed Jews from Bulgaria or just from Yugoslavia – as noted in Nazi documentation. As a symbol of the tragedy of the Jews from Macedonia, a memorial stone dedicated to the 7200 killed Jews from Macedonia was deveiled in Treblnka.
“Memorial stone with name MACEDONIA is telling a story that we are not people to disappear but to last”, said Miodrag Todorovoc – Kozma, “even 98% of all Jews from Macedonia were killed in Treblinka, half of them kids on the age less then 10 years old.”
“To overcome the injustice in Treblinka, we are grateful to the Jewish Community in Poland and to ambassador of Poland to Macedonia, H.E. Carol Buhara. That is the list we could do for our ancestors disappeared in Treblinka extermination camp”, Ljuljana Mizrahi said.
