A commemorative program was organized on the occasion of 75 years from deportation of the Jews from Macedonia, in the cities of Skopje, Bitola and Shtip, organized by the Holocaust Fund of the Jews from Macedonia and the Jewish Community in the Republic of Macedonia, under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia. Part of this program included laying flowers at the monuments dedicated to the deported Jews in Bitola, Shtip and Skopje, including marches of life that were organized in Bitola and Skopje, attended by more than 2,000 participants.

The commemoration event was attended by the President of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr.Zoran Zaev, President of the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr.Bojko Borisov, the chair person of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr.Denis Zvizdic as well as delegation from the Republic of Romania.

Visit to the new permanent museum exhibition in the Holocaust Memorial Center for the Jews of Macedonia was also organized.

The commemoration events finished with commemoration concert in the Macedonian Philharmonic Orcestra with opening remarks by the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Prof.Gjorge Ivanov Ph.D., Deputy Minister of Defense of the State of Israel, Mr.Eli Ben Dahan, Chairperson of the American Jewish Committee, rabbi Andrew Baker and the President of the Jewish Community in the Republic of Macedonia, Mrs. Berta Nikolic
