On the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the uprising of the prisoners in the Sobibor concentration camp, the Embassy of the Russian Federation, in cooperation with the Holocaust Fund of the Jews from Macedonia, officially opened the “Sobibor” exhibition dedicated to these events.

The uprising in the concentration camp Sobibor, where over 250,000 Jews from all over Europe were killed, including Soviet prisoners of war and antifascists took place on 14 October 1943.

Opening remarks were addressed by the ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Macedonia, His Excellency Mr.Sergey Bazdnikin and the Chief Executive Director of the Holocaust Fund of the Jews from Macedonia, Mr. Goran Sadikarijo.

The Russian movie “Sobibor” was also screened as part of this event.
