The Beit 2018-2019 project started in Skopje

The Holocaust Memorial Center of the Jews from Macedonia is again a partner of the project "European Remembrance 2018-19 - Beit Project, Memory and Diversity". Today started the activities in which students from two Skopje high schools Orce Nikolov and Zef Ljus Marku took part. The focus of the project is to create a triple meeting between the youth and the 10 selected European cities. The meetings are with the city, with the history, with the "other" citizens, people with different socio-economic origins, different cultures, religions or origins. Through an experimental process, young people realize that the "other" is not an obstacle, but an advantage to gain a broader and deeper awareness of his society. By transforming heritage sites into educational platforms for dialogue and debate, students connect history and contemporary topics. The realization of the project for 2018-2019 is in 10 cities: Skopje, Athens, Paris, Ixels, Brussels, Barcelona, Marseille, Sofia, Nice and Bucharest. Today's group's activities continue tomorrow.
