Promotion of the "Anne Frank's Diary" – refined edition

The Holocaust Fund of the Jews of Macedonia together with “Heroi” Publishing Center, on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of restoration of the work of the Jewish community in the country, issued a refined edition of a book that was left 70 years ago as legacy by Anne Frank. A refined version of the "Anne Frank's Diary" was promoted at the Holocaust Memorial Center of the Jews from Macedonia. In a presence of a large number of students from the “Orce Nikolov” gymnasium, students from the “Gjorgija Pulevski” elementary school acted excerpts from the book. Attendees were addressed by Zhaklina Mucheva from the Memorial Center and Tamara Dimitrova from “Heroi” Publishing House, and the attendees were welcomed by prof.Dushko Stojanovski and his students from Orce Nikolov: Melani, Ana, Lina and Denica, who refined the Ana Frank story, adding illustrations from their classmates Ognena and Bisera. They told their experiences with this new activity for them and how they now experience the book and the Holocaust in a different manner. As we read the books, we are introduced to the historical characters and events that were happening and contributing towards shaping the world of today. By acquainting them with all the positive and negative sides, we are shaping our character and values and we participate in the creation of future society that we will leave as legacy to the future generations. In order to leave a better society to the future generations we need to get to get acquainted with, and analyze, the characters who give us examples through their common actions and activities we need to condemn but also support. We therefore recommend this book be part of all home libraries and to read with proper attention. The book goes on nationwide in Macedonia, at the Memorial center and in the Heroi bookstore priced at only 100 denars.
