The first memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Jewish community in R. Macedonia, the Institute for Cultural and Spiritual Heritage of the Albanians, the Institute for National History and the Memorial Center
On November 10, 2014, on the occasion of the International Day for Combating Fascism and Anti-Semitism at the Holocaust Memorial Center of the Jews from Macedonia, the first memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Jewish community in the Republic of Macedonia. Macedonia, the Institute for Cultural and Spiritual Heritage of the Albanians, the Institute for National History and the Holocaust Memorial Center for the Jews of Macedonia.
The memorandum was signed in order to deepen the cooperation between these four institutions, as well as an example of interethnic and inter-religious respect and understanding. This act is a recognition of the common desire to prevent, deal with and prevent hatred and violence against any ethnic or religious group.
With the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation, the project "Facing the Past - Civil Courage in Dangerous Times" officially began.
Representatives of the institutions that signed the memorandum were Ms. Berta Romano Nikolic, President of the Jewish Community in R. Macedonia, Dr. Skender Asani, director of the Institute for Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of the Albanians, prof. Dr. Dragi Gjorgiev, Director of the Institute of National History, Mr. Blagoja Mladenovski, Member of the Board of the Holocaust Memorial Center.
