On the occasion of 70 years of ending of the Nurnberg process, the Holocaust Fund of the Jews from Macedonia and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Macedonia promoted on the 7th of December 2016 the documentary anthology “Children of the war”. The book was reflected by the Russian Ambassador in Macedonia, Mr.Oleg Scherbak, who emphasized that those are stories of the children that happened to be inside Leningrad – city under siege at that period, who also survived through the Nazi concentration camps and ghettos and who witnessed their parents being murdered.

This book was published in English language by the Russian publisher “Argumenti i Fakti” in 2016.

The Embassy of the Russian Federation donated 20 copies of this anthology to the library of the Memorial Center. The Chief Executive Director of the Holocaust Memorial Center for the Jews of Macedonia, Mr. Goran Sadikarijo, said that this book will be currently available only in English language in the library of the Center. He emphasized that efforts will be made, in cooperation with the Russian Embassy and with the Ministries of Culture and of Education of Macedonia to translate this book into Macedonian as well.
