Concert event of Spanish Sephardic music took place on 11 July 2019 at the plateau in front of the Holocaust Memorial Center of the Jews from Macedonia, featuring the Spanish band “String of Leona&Serena” with the following members: Leona Hotta – tenor, Maria Pilar Lopez Hurtado – violin, Juan Dias Poras – cello and Bergilos Oskar Sanchez – guitar. The concert offered an excellent musical experience and included traditional Sephardic songs and Ladino music. The event was organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishment of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of N Macedonia and was part of the “Skopje Summer” traditional event. The concert was organized by the Spanish Embassy in cooperation with Skopje Summer, the Jewish Community in the Republic of N Macedonia and the Holocaust Fund of the Jews from Macedonia.
